USPC Annual Meeting - Pre-Registration Ends Today!!

Cimarron Note: I've been to Annual Meeting several times now, and it is one of the coolest things in Pony Club. At Annual Meeting, you get to spend 2+ days immersed in horsiness, with the side benefit of meeting/seeing other horsey people. Before my first trip to Annual Meeting, I didn't realize the sheer number and quality of classes offered (See Erin's description below and visit the Annual Meeting website for a list of workshops.) And, adults, you get to be Pony Clubbers and attend right alongside the kids!

Today is the last day to pre-register, which I urge you to do for the sake of the planners. Pre-registration is super-simple using online registration. If you can't register today, though, you can still attend by registering when you get to Nashville, so don't let that keep you from going. Oh, yes, did I mention, it's in Nashville this year? Home of country music?!?

Help Pony Club while you shop online!

You can help support US Pony Club while you do your Holiday Shopping!

USPC has entered into an partnership with Amazon.com which provides us with a royalty on all sales which originate from our bookstore website.

Here’s how you can help:

FIRST GO TO THE USPC BOOKSTORE site, (upper right corner of the homepage at www.ponyclub.org ) Click on any of the featured Amazon items listed at the bottom of the page. This will automatically take you to amazon.com, and from there you can select anything you wish to purchase—you are not limited to buying books about horses! If you purchase gift cards, Pony Club will also
benefit. If you buy ANYTHING from amazon.com this Holiday Season, Pony Club will receive a portion of the sale—provided you start on our bookstore site—so you will benefit and so will USPC. The more items that are purchased, the higher Pony Club’s percentage of the sales will be. (Cimarron note: This only works if you go to Amazon from the USPC Bookstore site.)

Warm wishes & thank you from all the staff at Pony Club,

Karen Winn

USPC Horse Management Website

The Horse Management section of the USPC website is a great resource! Check it out at http://www.hm.ponyclub.org/.

Note from Julie Herman, who oversees the HM website:

I have just added a link from the USPC HM website (under "tack")
taking you to the article Wayne referenced on how to correctly fit a
hackamore bridle.

In addition, I've been combing the site looking for broken links. I
would love to hear from you if there is a link you've hit there that
is broken so that I can fix it. I would also love to hear if you've
found a great new website that deserves a link from our page.

I would like to thank all who have shared lesson plans with us. Your
hard work is being shared with many. USPC Volunteers are The Best!

Club Websites and Ning - Minor names policy

We would be grateful if all clubs, regions and centers could take a moment to review their websites. It has recently come to our attention that some clubs have members listed with first and last names. This is prohibited as no minor's last names and ages should ever be published on our websites. You may refer to them by first name and initials only. Protecting our members is very important to us all.

Thank you for your diligent efforts ensure your websites are corrected if necessary.

April Smith
Vice President of Regional Administration
United States Pony Club

Cimarron note: This also applies to the USPC Ning site. Any members under 18, please make sure to use only your first name when posting to the Ning site.
